J R Philp is an Executive Coach for The Bradley Partnership, Inc. (TBP). He has coached sitting and transitional executives, mid-management director levels, first level managers and supervisors and individual contributors.
J R has an extensive background in both the corporate and nonprofit areas. He was Vice President of Human Resources for The Hillman Company and was responsible for leading the Human Resources function at the corporate headquarters and throughout the Hillman subsidiaries. This involved extensive coaching assignments within the Executive and Director levels. Prior to his career at The Hillman Company, his background includes Human Resources management positions at Rockwell International, Ford Motor Company, as well as a sales management position with Hewlett-Packard.
He holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix and completed his undergraduate degree at The University of New Mexico. He is an alumni of Coach University and continues to attend courses keeping his skill levels sharp. He is known for his “hands on” approach to coaching issues in solving difficult problems to build stronger teams resulting in improved corporate performance.
J R has been an adjunct professor at University of Pittsburgh and Florida Gulf Coast University. A few of his significant volunteer positions include: President of Greater Naples Leadership, Chairman of a Hospital Board, College Trustee, and officer positions on many other significant boards. He has published “You Can’t Manage Alone” and is currently updating that book as well as writing two other management oriented books.
